You won't believe how many times we have heard this from our customers "OMG I'm so bored with my living space/home/room, I need some changes around here! Can you please help me out!?"

Well..now is the best time to do a mini makeover isn't it? So we have came up with a few simple steps that you can follow, and trust us, it won't cost a bomb!

1. Start small. Let's start off with a room or a small space okay?
It is always good to start small so you don't get overwhelmed with the entire process. Plan out where to start and end. Do this at your own pace, there's absolutely no hurry here. **We're most likely going to be stuck at home for a long time**

2. Declutter a.k.a Marie Kondo your space.
It is hard to work with a room full of unwanted stuff. And we all know, clutter is bad. It fogs your mind, it creates anxiety, it makes you feel flustered and uneasy. Take a big bag or box and just get rid of them! Marie Kondo says, only keep stuff that sparks joy. If you have things which you have not used in over 6 months, yeap, just put them in the bag! DO you know decluttering is a form of therapy? When you get rid of stuff, naturally, you feel lighter, you become more open and it makes you happy.

3. Start organizing.
Once all the clutter is gone, it's time to organize. This is the best part, if you're a OCD like me. I like my things organized, either into their functions/uses, or colours, or shapes, whichever makes you happy! *Always do things that make you happy okay!* Storage boxes and baskets, shelves and drawers are good organization tools. Ikea is a fantastic place to looks for these items. We also have some storage baskets available for purchase online. Click here to see.

4. Fill up the empty spaces
Yes yes, you may ask, "I just cleared all that stuff, and now I need to fill them up again?!" Yup, you're doing that, except this time, you will fill the empty spaces with things that spark joy. For me personally. I love plants, so I fill those empty spaces or corners with some easy-to-care indoor plants. Pothos/Money plant is my favourite! Ikea has them! Or if you're able to travel to Sungai Buloh, there are many nurseries there that offer a wide range of indoor plants. I bought all my money plants from Sungai Buloh just before MCO for only RM6/pot! Check out a list of easy-to-care indoor plants here.Talk about a good deal! House plants help liven the energy of a space, they give life, they add colours, and best part, they give you oxygen! Other than plants, you can also add some colourful or textured throws and cushions.

5. Last one! This is optional. Engage all your 5 senses.
So we have sight, touch, smell, taste and sound. We have pretty much tackled the sight and touch, for smell, you can add scented candles, or essential oils/diffusers, potpourris, scented joss stick or just bake some cookies in the oven to make your whole house smell yummm! *that counts for taste too, right?* As for sound, just turn on some relaxing and soothing music, or your favourite music and dance to them!

Seeeeee! It's so simple, and it doesn't cost much. A simple makeover like this doesn't even take much time! Try this simple steps, and tell me how it goes for you!

*We have so many beautiful and colourful items that are available to purchase from our online store. We have mandala tapestries that you can hang up on your otherwise boring wall, you can also use them as a table cloth, a sofa cover, a bed cover or even as a window curtain. Go wild! We also have a range of gorgeous mandala cushions, square cushions, rectangular cushions etc (check our Instagram!)

** As for scented candles, I personally love Lilin+Co. Their candles smell amazing! H&M Home's scented candles are awesome too!

With Love,
Tinisha x
